With airline fees changing by the week, travelers have a lot of uncertainty regarding the total cost of their flights if bringing oversized and/or overweight luggage. Often airline personnel themselves don't even know the current policy and calling customer service can provide differing answers depending upon who you talk to.
So, when we learn of someone actually traveling---in this case with a bike---we like to pass the first-hand information along.
Last week, an athletic-minded traveler flew with his bike on Frontier Airlines and was charged $50 each way for the bike. Therefore, plan on an additional $100 round trip if bringing your two-wheeler.
