We toured Calgary in the midst of a blustery winter storm, but the locals' warm hospitality made up for Mother Nature's chilly welcome in this burgeoning city.

Despite its cold temperatures, downtown Calgary is a hotbed for business activity and, we're happy to report, athletic-minded pursuits. Travelers to this neck of Alberta will have no problem finding a wonderful Calgary hotel gym, a convenient health club or community center, healthy restaurants, and a fantastic Calgary run route.
