AMT and McDreamy

A week or so ago Jim took a trip north to cover/watch the end of the Tour of California. What he did not relay was his "Hollywood" moment with none other than Mr. McDreamy.

For those of you who do not know who I am referring to (yes, there are people who fall into this category, such as my esteemed parents), McDreamy is the nickname given to actor Patrick Dempsey's character on the TV show "Grey's Anatomy". Dempsey also recently graced the cover of People Magazine--he and his newborn twins.

So, anyway, Mr. Dempsey was attending the California Tour because he's a cycling fan (natch!) and as a supporter of Amgen's Breakaway from Cancer initiative which seeks to raise awareness and funding for cancer research and programs. One of these programs is the National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship (NCCS) of which Dempsey is a spokesperson. Dempsey's mother is a two-time cancer survivor.
